Painting, painting, and more painting!!!

Well, UGG!!! My house is still a complete disaster right now!

We've cleaned up a lot of the dust and stuff around the house (Matt and I both vaccummed it all up the other night!) but it's still pretty bad.

We decided to repaint the living room too while we didn't have any flooring down (it was really nice to be able to paint without worrying about getting it on the carpet or tile, etc!! LOL) So our living room, the hallway to the boys room, and the front hallway off of our kitchen is all a dark caramel color. It was a mauvish color before- which was pretty, but we were just getting tired of it and thought it might not look good with our darker wood floors.

I'm sitting here right now waiting for the tile guys to get here to put the tile down, and the counter top guys to get here and put in the new granite countertops. Woo-hoo!! Once they're here and started, the boys and I are going to a few furniture stores to pick out a new kitchen table. Right now we have a glass top table that I HATE (you just can NOT keep it clean with four kids no matter how hard you try!!!) We also only have 4 chairs that go with that table and I HATE not having everyone sit together at supper!!! And I just might pick out two new sofas while I'm at it. Matt and I have had these dark maroon colored sofas for almost 9 years now, and they're just showing their age.

So, once they're done with all of that, I'll go and repaint all of the white trim work around the house, and then we'll put in the wood floors. I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY hoping that everything will be completely done by Saturday or so. And then I'm going to clean all of the rooms really good so we can actually live here without horrible allergies from all of the dust!

Okay... so I think that's about it for now on the house. I can not WAIT for it to all get done!!
